Overcome These 4 Common Excuses Not For Tackling Bone Health

You may be here because you’ve been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis. The reason I started WakeUp Health is to support women who are starting their journey towards health – and specifically their bone health.

I know when I was first diagnosed with osteopenia, the fear I’d break a bone crippled me. Afraid to move and not knowing which of my normal activities put me at risk, I felt like my life came to a grinding halt.

As I researched, I also began to worry about the cost of prescription drugs and the harmful side effects. I wanted to find out everything I could about how to reverse this diagnosis without drugs. But I didn’t know which way to turn. I was tied up in knots!

If you’re here, I want to shed light on the path I paved to strong bones and a healthier life.

4 Common Excuses For Not Tackling Bone Health

Here are the 4 most common excuses for not tackling bone health out there…

“I don’t have the time / money / any willpower / any support.”

Have you found yourself saying one of these excuses?

The amazing thing is, you can make a DIFFERENT decision starting today.

1. I Don’t Have The Time

Time is precious, and you prioritize your life to what best suits you. Whether work, home, kids, pets, or travel, you’ve got a lot on your plate. You might be thinking your packed schedule simply can’t afford any lifestyle changes right now. Possibly next week? Or next month?

In reality, you have the same 24 hours in a day as Oprah or Elon Musk or the Queen.

Prioritizing your time is key to making progressive changes in your life starting now.

When I first learned about the changes I needed to be making in my own life, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information and alarmed at the amount of disinformation. There was a lot to learn, but I would have done just about anything at that point to stop my bones from turning into swiss cheese.

Saying “no” to the habits that don’t align with your goals is how you create time for the lifestyle changes you have envisioned.

2. I Don’t Have The Money

There are a lot of reasons we come up with to not do something. Finances are an absolutely valid concern you might have before embarking on any new journey.

But when this journey is centered around improving your health and wellness, it’s time to make a decision.

Are you ready to commit to your health?

Just like time, you prioritize money based on what’s most important to you. When you say “no” to the habits that aren’t aligning with your goals, you are prioritizing both your time and finances.

Each dollar you spend is a vote for what you desire in your life. If you are ready to start building bone strength, make sure your bones get a vote in every aspect of your life.

3. I Don’t Have Any Willpower

When I started on this journey, I didn’t think I had the willpower to say “no” to bone deteriorating habits. In fact, I had the choice all along to continue down the path of poor choices or to be proactive and build my bones.

Once I had this epiphany, I made the decision to practice healthier bone habits everyday.

You can see these positive changes in your life, too!

Once you make the decision to commit towards increasing bone strength, I will be here to support you every step of your journey. With consistent practice, the willpower gives way to discipline. These necessary daily habits become a routine bone healing lifestyle.

The best part? You don’t have to do this alone! Schedule a complimentary consultation here to learn how I can help you start this journey.

4. I Don’t Have Any Support

When you start a new exercise regime, I always recommend doing it with a friend. Why? It makes it fun! This support creates accountability, which increases the chances of you sticking with the new activity.

When I was making adjustments to my diet, taking supplements, exercising more, and noticing the improvements in my stress and sleep… I found how important it is to surround myself with people who support my personal mission.

Support comes in various forms; although, you may have to go outside your circle (or work with a professional) to find it. I’ve experienced this on my own and developed my “Strengthen Them Bones” program to support women like you so that you don’t have to go at it alone. In this program, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of what you can do to strengthen your bones NATURALLY, and you’ll have an ally holding you accountable and cheering you on!

Overcoming Those Excuses With These 2 Options

There are 2 primary options or paths that you can take when you are diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis. Do the same thing (and see the same results) or change your direction.

Option A: You Do The Same Thing (And See The Same Results)

When you’re faced with the choice to do things differently in order to bring positive change or remain on the same, comfortable path, the decision is yours to make. To see improvement to your bone health, YOU must be the change you want to see.

Eating an extra vegetable, exercising a little bit more, and getting a tad more sleep all seem like obvious steps towards a healthier you. Unfortunately, many of the health-conscious habits you’ve been taught over the years are simply not helping your body.

If your approach to bone health is continuing to eat the same foods, but adding a little bit of exercise and getting more sleep, you’re basically continuing the habits that produced the results that you are hoping to improve.

Maybe you’ve taken the prescription drug route. Every doctor I went to wanted to prescribe me medications that I later found out, after reading the side effects, would be harmful to my body.

When Option A Isn’t Enough

I wasn’t interested in taking a drug to mask the problem. To get to the root cause and find a long-lasting natural solution, I began my search and started with eating healthier.

Although I was glad to not be taking harmful prescriptions, my body was also reacting negatively to certain foods. What I thought was helping was actually hurting me. This is when I decided to focus my research towards finding the solution to naturally improve my bone health.

That journey is what got me to where I am today, sharing my strategies for building strong bones, so that you can skip over the years of trial and error I endured. Instead of struggling, make the choice to get yourself on the right path now.

The question to ask yourself is…

“Are my bone density concerns to the point where I am ready to take action?”

If you are ready to take action, the next question to ask yourself is…

“Do I have what it takes?”

You may be hesitating because you know it takes commitment and discipline to push through and stick with new lifestyle habits that include not only diet and exercise but stress management, routine sleep habits, ongoing supplementation, social prowess, and a determined mindset.

Option B: You Chose To Change Your Direction

As Oprah says, “when you know better, you do better.”

You’ve made the decision to take responsibility. And you’re going to do what it takes to build healthier, stronger bones.

Because I went through this journey and devoted my life to finding an answer to improving bone health, I want to share my strategies with you and get you on a path to see real results NATURALLY.

Instead of starting from scratch and feeling alone and lost through the ups and downs, you can choose a direct path and have an ally that provides accountability and support.
